About Us & Teachers

Artworks Studio has been offering art classes in Severna Park since 2007. We strive to create a unique environment in which kids of all ages, abilities & experiences can feel free to imagine, create & welcome the ARTS into their lives!

We are very excited that we are bringing our fun, creative art classes to TWO new locations this spring... Edgewater & Annapolis!

All of our classes are led by qualified, experienced, caring instructors with a passion for art and teaching.

I have been teaching art in an Elementary School for 20+ years and here at my studio for 9+ years. I was honored to be Teacher of the Year in 2002 & 2004 and Art Educator of the Year in 2002. It is my responsibility and passion to awaken in children an interest in art.

The arts give us a language that helps us to see the connections in our world. I will provide a variety of art experiences with appropriate and challenging materials in order for the kids to create art that is meaningful to them.

I look forward to making a creative difference in your child's life

Born, raised and educated in Ohio ....but you will usually find me longing for the beach!
I relocated to Maryland over 28 years ago and love its mountains to ocean lifestyle.
Beauty all around  us offers lots of inspiration for art work!

I come from a creative family of architects and musicians.
I have been surrounded by artists , entrepreneurs and creative thinking all my life.
My mother was the first artist my father ever hired to start his business The C.M. Paula Co.
I was the first one to go to college and have a  BFA in graphic design/minor in marketing.
My 20 plus work years experience have seen print & publishing/ branding &business development/ marketing and art direction as well as product development and illustration.
Beautiful color and bold design are still my passions.

I love being left handed ...I am able to say that I am in my right mind !!
My love for color and design comes in second only  to my love of people.
So I opened Raye of Light Studio to bring people together over art!
